When it comes to cleaning your carpets, there are several things to keep in mind.
But first, here are a few tips on using them in tandem.
1.
When using vinegar and/or disinfectant, there is a chance you could create an aerosolised, toxic cloud that will cause the carpets to dry out prematurely.
2.
When you have been using the cleaner on the carpet, use it with caution.
Avoid applying it to carpets in areas that could be contaminated by dust or bacteria, such as under the carpet or under your furniture.
3.
Be aware of the potential for fumes from the cleaner and how much it is capable of cleaning the carpeting.
A good rule of thumb is to use it for one to two minutes at a time.
4.
Use only as directed.
You should never mix vinegar and a disinfectant.
5.
Keep your hands away from the carpet.
If you’re using vinegar to clean carpets you can also use a disinfection cleaner with vinegar in it, or you can use it alongside the vinegar to neutralise it. 6.
Keep away from children.
If your children are around, try to avoid handling the cleaner or disinfectant it comes with, or they could accidentally inhale it. 7.
Never apply vinegar to carpet floors, carpets that you’re not using.
Use caution when using vinegar on carpeting floors, as it may leave residue behind that could cause you to scratch or damage carpets.
8.
Do not use cleaning agents like bleach or hydrogen peroxide.
They may leave behind residue and can irritate your skin, especially if they’re used together.
