Solar panel cleaners are increasingly becoming cheaper to use, but a new one-hour vacuum that comes with a warranty that includes a 30-day return period may be more expensive to maintain than other brands.
SunPower said on Thursday it had introduced the Solar Cleaning Service for Solar Home in Australia.
It comes with 30-days of support with no return period and can be bought from SunPower, which said it was aimed at the “low to moderate” price range.
Sun power has been a major player in the Australian solar industry since its inception in the early 1990s.
It has now become the second-largest manufacturer of solar panels, and the largest manufacturer of batteries, solar thermal, and solar energy equipment.
Its solar panels are used in more than 20 million homes and businesses in Australia, and are used for a wide range of applications.
The company has more than 2,000 employees in Australia and has more locations around the world.
A SunPower spokesperson said the product was aimed primarily at low to moderate price-point home and business users.
The company said it had “reached a point where it is now reasonable to expect a warranty for our Solar Cleaner Solar Service.”
Sun Power also said the solar panel was the only product it had developed that was designed for a longer life cycle and more reliability than other products.
Sun Power said the Solar Service would be available on its Solar Power Home, Solar Power Solar, Solar Home and Solar Power Utility brands in the coming weeks.
